Made from a superior grade of polished steel, this attractive 1 pint tankard features traditional design and a classic curved handle. The Augustine Polished Steel Glass Bottom Tankard can be fully engraved with an inscription and logo of your choice making this a popular gift option.
The base of the tankard is finished in glass, a practise that goes back a couple of hundred years. Legend tells that a glass bottomed tankard was a way of refusing the King's shilling, used to lure potential recruits into conscription to the British Army or Navy. If a glass tankard was used, the drinker could see the coin in the bottom of the glass and refuse the drink, thereby avoiding conscription. Please note, the shilling in the photograph is for illustrative purposes only!

.EPS is the logo format required by our engraving machines. This type of editable vector artwork file is typically available from your logo designer or art/media department and must be created and saved in editable '.EPS' format. An .EPS vector file cannot be saved by reformatting a flat image (.JPG of .GIF). The .EPS file requires the full detailed outline for accurate engraving.

If you do not have a copy of your logo in .EPS format, we are able to provide a reformatting service for a small additional cost per logo. Once the logo has been reformatted we can provide you with a copy for future use.
